Small Group Kids Lessons

English Introduction to children of elementary age. Small group of a max of 3 students, 50 minute lessons, 4 lessons a month. Focus based on level in Vocabulary, Reading, Writing, Phonics, and Conversation. All in a fun environment for learning.

Private Jr High/High School Lessons

English Studies designed to help with testing and learning of Jr. High school and High school age. Private 50 minute lessons, 4 lessons a month. High focus in Grammar, Reading comprehension, Writing, and Speech. Helping students with their English can achieve great things in school!

Adult Private Lessons

English Private lessons as Adults, are based on what you are most interested in improving. Private 60 minute lessons, 4 lessons a month. Conversation skills? Grammar Knowledge? Beginner? Tell me what you want to improve and we can work towards the goal together, with Coffee or Tea.

Baby Class

Classes for ages 0-2 for English interactions and play. Class of no more than 3 babies with mothers, 40 minute lessons, 4 lessons a month. This class is designed for Mom and baby to enjoy hearing and being involved in English. Each class is centered around Song, Dance, Kinesthetic learning, and Listening to a new language!

Beginner Class

Classes for ages 3-5 English Beginner. A fun and interactive introduction to English. Class of no more than 3 children per class. 45 minute lessons, 4 lessons a month. Focus on ABCs, Phonics, Vocabulary, Song and Dance, Kinesthetic learning, and FUN. Introduction to English should be gentle and with lots of play involved!

Home Based

RuRuEnglish is based in a home, in Tsukubamirai City. Close to Midorino and Miraidaira Stations. I hold lessons in a classroom in my house. I have everything prepared here for the lessons.

Private Lessons

I believe in giving my full attention and my all in knowing each one of my students. I prioritize private classes without the extra costs, because I truly want those who are interested in learning, to really meet those goals! Each student has different weaknesses and strengths, I want to help what needs extra attention and build on what is already strong!

Hello everyone!

My name is Beth Chiba and I started RuRuEnglish! I am originally from the United States of America, and my home place is Memphis, Tennessee. I have been in Japan since 2015. I really enjoy living here with my husband and my son. I am an English teacher, with TEFL and TESOL certifications. I have a fun, caring, and passionate personality! RuRuEnglish is named after my son. My journey to starting RuRuEnglish was wanting to continue to teach English, after becoming a Mother who could not work full time hours anymore. I had the idea to open my home for lessons. Since becoming a mother, working at different locations and scheduling times became difficult. Becoming a mom was a huge change, but I still had the passion to teach English. I think other mothers could agree, that it can be difficult to juggle a work schedule and still be around for your child. By opening lessons at home, I am always close and I have the freedom to choose. I hope to use my freedom to teach from my home to help other mothers, whether I teach their children English or I get to teach mothers English! RuRuEnglish is my hope as an English teacher and as a mother! Mothers are some of the most passionate people in the world, so that is why I am teaching with a passion!
